Saying a few words in front of the parents.

Whenever I say a few words in front of the parents at each entrance ceremony of the daycare center where I work, I also feel nervous. I used to forget what to say. Next year I will say a few words again in front of the parents and their children. I hope that I will be able to go through with it without feeling nervous. "Hi! I am Laura, a homeroom teacher of the Joy class. I remember this day last year, when my children first came to the daycare centre, they were unfamiliar with their new surroundings so they searched for their moms and dads. Now they attend and bow when they come in. The thought of facing the new children today made my heart flutter. I will look after them like their mothers and I will do my best for them to grow healthy and with lots of joy."

How to make Meju, '메주 만드는 법'

Have you ever had Korean food? I think that most countries have their own special sauces to cook with. Korea also has special and traditional sauces like soy sauce (ganjang, 간장), soybean paste (doenjang, 된장), and red pepper paste (gochujang, 고추장). To make doenjang, gochujang, and ganjang, we have to make the blocks of fermented soybeans (Meju, 메주). When I was a child, I often saw my mom making them.
