When he went about 'Sibri', he met an old man and asked him the same question. The old man also suggested him to go 'Sibri' further. Then the traveler was very angry. "All the people that I have met, told me to go Sibri further", said the traveler to him. The old man laugh aloud, "It is because if you think of going ‘Bakri" further to Hanyang, you would be quiet exhausted before walking." said the old man. What do you think about the story? And I don't think it's possible to improve the languages without any encouragement and praise of friends, only by myself. ----- 제가 조선시대에 있었던 한 이야기를 들려줄게요. 한 나그네가 지금은 한국의 수도인 서울, 한양에 가는 길이었어요. 가는 길에 나그네가 한 젊은이를 만나서 여기서 한양까지 거리가 얼마인지를 물어봤어요. 그 젊은이는 ‘십리’만 더 가라고 했어요. 십리는 4Km를 말해요. 나그네가 십리를 갔을 때 한 아주머니에게 여기가 한양이냐고 물어봤어요. 그러나 그녀 역시 십리만 더 가라고 말했어요. 나그네는 걷고 또 걸었어요. 나그네가 십리쯤 갔을 때 한 노인을 만나 같은 질문을 했어요. 그 노인 역시 십리를 더 가라고 말했어요. 그러자 그 나그네는 매우 화가 나서, “제가 만났던 사람들 모두가 제게 ‘십리’만 더 가라고 말했어요.” 라고 노인에게 말했어요. 그 노인은 큰 소리로 웃으면서 “왜냐하면 만약 당신이 한양까지 ‘백리’를 더 가야 된다고 생각하면, 걷기도 전에 완전히 기진맥진할 게 분명하오.”라고 말했어요. 이 이야기를 어떻게 생각하세요? 언어공부는 이 이야기와 비슷한 것 같아요. 사실, 언어를 짧은 시간 안에 마스터 하는 것은 쉽지 않아요. 많은 인내심과 시간이 필요해요. 그리고 친구들의 격려와 칭찬 없이 오직 혼자서 언어공부를 향상시키는 것은 불가능하다고 생각해요.
