'In Addition To The Name of Love' by the youth choir ; 청춘 합창단의 '사랑이라는 이름을 더하여', 남자의 자격!

I watched the replay of NAMJAE JAGYUK which means a man's qualification on TV a few days ago. I was very glad to watch it because I could listen to a nice choir again. The program was broadcasted on KBS2 TV Channel on Sunday at 5.10 p.m. from 2009. 3. 29. to 2013. 4. 7 Regular panel members of Namjae jagyuck, had to complete various challenges, there were at least 101 things to complete before they die. The program also showed the viewers the members‘ real appearances while doing their best to complete tasks. One of their special tasks was singing in a national choir, which was hosted by KBS broadcasting station on September 24th, 2011. Kim Tae Won (김태원)), a leader of a rock band, ‘Revival (부활)’ and a regular panel member of Namjae jagyuck( 남자의 자격), composed a choir song, ‘In Addition To The Name of Love (사랑이라는 이름을 더하여)’ He also asked for a composer, Woo Hyo Won (우효원) to arrange his chorus and for the first time, he became a conductor of the choir. The famous conductor, Yun Hak Won (윤학원) taught him how to conduct. When the chorus was completed, regular panel members of Namjae jagyuck and some assistants selected 46 choir members from 50 to 84 years age. The average age of the choir was 64. Each participant had a special story. One was suffering from glaucoma, and someday he might lose his eyesight. Another stated that he challenged himself for doing what he wanted although he had to go into hospital. The other had a story that he had never sung in public for 20years after having a vocal fold nodules removal surgery. The oldest person in this chorus was 84 years old. She once was a member of other choir. Since she's getting old, she couldn't sing well so she retired from it. All the members had in common a passion for music, and enjoyment of singing songs. Despite that, they didn't have enough time to practice for the national choir competition. They practiced for only 2 months. I realized that age was just a number when I felt their passion for singing. The team(the youth choir) ended up getting second prize at the national choir competition hosted by the KBS broadcasting station in Sep 2011. **** 며칠 전 나는 작년에 방송되었던 ‘남자의 자격’ 재방송을 보았다. 멋진 합창곡을 다시 들을 수 있어서 아주 기뻤다. 남자의 자격 프로그램은 2009년 3월 29일부터 2013년 4월 7일까지 매주 토요일 저녁 5시 10분에 방송되었다. ‘남자의 자격' 출연자들은 남자들이 죽기 전에 해야 하는 적어도 101가지의 다양한 도전과제들을 끝내야 했다. 여러 도전과제들 중 하나는 2011년 10월 24일 KBS가 주관하는 전국합창대회에서 합창을 하는 것이었다. 락밴드 부활’의 리더이면서 '남자의 자격’출연자인 김태원이 합창곡,“사랑이라는 이름을 더하여”을 작곡했다. 또한 그는 우효원 작곡자에게 편곡을 부탁했고 처음으로 그는 합창단의 지휘자가 되었다. 유명한 윤학원 지휘자가 그에게 지휘하는 법을 가르쳤다. 합창곡이 완성되었을 때, 출연진과 몇몇 조력자들이 46명의 새 합창단원들을 선발했는데 그들의 나이는 50살부터 84살까지 되었다. 합창단원들의 평균나이는 64살이었다. 각 참가자들은 모두 특별한 사연을 갖고 있었다. 한 명은 녹내장을 앓고 있었는데, 언젠가 그는 시력을 잃을지도 모른다. 어떤 사람은 병원에 입원해야 함에도 불구하고 자신이 하고 싶은 일을 하기 위해 참가했다고 말했다. 또 어떤 사람의 사연은 성대결절로 인해 대중들 앞에서 20년 동안 노래를 부른 적이 없었다는 것이다. 합창단원 중에서 가장 나이가 많은 사람은 84살이었다. 그녀는 한때 합창 단원이었지만 나이가 들어감에 따라 고음을 부를 수 없어 은퇴를 했다. 어쨌든 모든 단원들은 음악과 노래 부르는 것을 사랑하는 공통점을 갖고 있었다. 사실 그들이 합창대회에 나가기 위한 연습시간은 충분하지 못했다. 오직 두 달 동안 그들은 합창연습을 하였다. 나는 합창을 향한 그들의 열정을 느꼈고 다시 한 번 나이는 숫자에 불과하다는 것을 깨달았다. 마침내 ‘청춘합창단’팀은 2011년 KBS가 주관하는 전국합창대회에서 2등을 수상했다.
