Jeju Dolharbang Park, '제주 돌하르방 공원'

I went to a nice park called 'Dolharbang Park' and we enjoyed seeing various shapes of Dolharbangs. Jejudo is the largest island made by volcanic activity in Korea so we can easily see basalt. Dolharbangs are also made of the basalt. 'Dol' means 'Stone' and 'Harbang' means 'Grandfather'. The stones all look like grandfathers so we call them 'Dolharbang'. According to an old document, 260 years ago, the word of Dolharbang was appeared and it was known as patron saints of each village in Jeju. These days, some Dolharbangs are made in various poses so they are so cute. I posted my video of Dolharbangs on Youtube. It snowed a lot last weekend. The next day many schools and kindergartens were closed so I didn't go to work. It is rare to see lots of snow in Jeju city except county sides in the winter.This winter it snowed a lot and the temparature fell to four degrees below zero so the water pipes of lots of houeses were frozen and even some areas had no power. 'The Great Battle, Ansi Castle', 영화 '안시성'

Today I watched the nice movie, 'The Great Battle, Ansi Castle'. 1400 years ago, The Korean Peninsula was divided into three nations; Goguryeo. Baekje and Silla. At the time, China King, Lee Se min invaded Goguryeo and captured some castles in Goguryeo. When Lee Se Min invaded 'Ansi Castle', the lord of the Ansi castle was Yang Man Chun. Yang Man chun had only 5000 soldiers compared to Lee Se Min's 200 thousand soldiers. Before the battle, Yang Man Chun called on his soldiers and people; We didn't learn how to retreat, to bend our knees and to yield. Fight to defend our family and our nation by sacrificing ourselves!' The fierce battle lasted for 88 days long! Finally Yang Man Chun overcame the enemy and won the battle. My hobbies, '취미'

Hi! My hobbies are practicing the piano, going camping, taking a trip, taking photographs and studying English. If the weather is fine on a weekend, I go camping with my family.
