'Frozen', '겨울왕국'

My youngest daughter really wanted to watch the animation, 'Frozen', so yesterday I went to the theater to watch it with my daughters. My eyes were fixed to the beautiful scenes and I was also immersed in the music. I especially loved the OST, 'Let it go'. After I came home, I listened to the music several times. This animation is a story about two sisters Ellsa and Anna. The Elder sister, Ellsa had a special talent that everything she touched with her hands was changed into ice. That is why her parents concealed her from people, even her younger sister, Anna. After her parents died of shipwreck, she came out of her room to succeed to the throne. But everybody knew her special talent and was afraid of her. She was also afraid of herself so she went to the top of a mountain. Then the whole wide world was soon frozen. Her sister Anna went to find her because she believed that only Elssa could turn the frozen world back to the former times. Are you curious about the next part of the story? You should go and watch it! .............. 작은 딸이 ‘겨울왕국’ 만화영화를 꼭 보고 싶다고 해서 어제 그 만화영화를 보려고 아이들과 극장에 갔어요. 저는 그 영화를 보는 내내 아름다운 영상과 음악에 눈을 뗄 수가 없었어요. 특히 그 영화 주제곡 ‘Let it go'는 정말 좋았어요. 집에 와서도 그 OST를 여러 번 들었어요. 이 영화는 엘사와 안나, 두 자매에 대한 이야기에요. 언니 엘사는 특별한 재주를 갖고 있었는데 그녀의 손이 닿은 곳은 전부 차디찬 얼음으로 변해버렸어요. 그래서 왕과 왕비는 그런 공주의 재능을 아무에게도 알리지 않았어요. 심지어 동생인 안나에게도. 배가 난파되어 세상을 떠난 부모님의 대를 이어 어쩔 수 없이 언니 엘사가 대관식에 참여하기 위해 세상에 나오게 되었는데, 그날 그녀의 재능이 세상 모든 사람들에게 알려졌고 그녀를 두려워했어요. 그녀 또한 너무 놀라서 높은 산으로 올라가자 세상이 곧 모두 꽁꽁 얼어붙었어요. 동생 안나가 언니가 이 세상을 다시 예전처럼 되돌릴 수 있다고 믿고 찾으러 갔어요. 그 다음 이야기가 궁금하시죠? 보시면 알 거예요. 보면 아실 거예요.

How to make Meju, '메주 만드는 법'

Have you ever had Korean food? I think that most countries have their own special sauces to cook with. Korea also has special and traditional sauces like soy sauce (ganjang, 간장), soybean paste (doenjang, 된장), and red pepper paste (gochujang, 고추장). To make doenjang, gochujang, and ganjang, we have to make the blocks of fermented soybeans (Meju, 메주). When I was a child, I often saw my mom making them. But now I am used to buying the sauces, instead of making them! *How to make Meju, '메주'* ---------------- 1. Prepare yellow soybeans and keep them soaked in water for about 8 hours. 2. Buddhism says that it's very difficult to meet again in this life time if there isn't a special connection in a previous life.
